We didn’t grow up with much, but we grew up with each other. As two of six siblings in a small New Mexico town, life meant double-wide trailers, hand-me-downs, and moving over a dozen times. We weren’t handed opportunities. We built them.
We were raised to work, hauling trash in the snow the day after Christmas, throwing lumber at a mill, and sweating through 150-degree attics blowing insulation. The jobs were tough, the pay was small, but the lessons stuck: show up early, work hard, stay humble.
Two Paths Collide
Nick had a future in nursing, already working in ICU units, shadowing nurse anesthetists, and on track for a secure, well-paying job. Ty had just come back from his mission, unsure of his next step but hungry to build something of his own.
Then one day, over a hot tub conversation, everything changed.
We talked about the insulation business we both knew well from working at USI. We knew what customers were being charged. We knew we could do it better. That night, we made the decision: let’s bet on ourselves and start our own company.
We pooled everything we had, emptied our savings, bought a beat-up truck (shoutout to Buffalo Bill), paid cash for our first insulation blower, and dove headfirst into business ownership. No investors. No mentors. No safety net. Just two brothers figuring it out along the way.
What We’ve Grown Into
Today, we’re proud to say we’ve built more than just a company, we’ve built a team, a reputation, and a name we stand behind.
We’ve grown from just insulation into roofing, remodeling, and home additions. Ty runs operations, he’s the guy making sure every crew, every material order, every project runs smooth. Nick drives business development, building relationships, opening doors, and thinking 10 steps ahead.
